Sporting Clube de Goa Extend League Momentum With 3–0 Triumph at Duler

Duler, October 24: Sporting Clube de Goa continued their strong run in the Goa Professional League with a commanding 3–0 win over Cortalim Villagers at Duler Stadium on Friday. Goals from Naocha Singh, Francisco Fernandes, and Mark Carvalho sealed the victory for the home side, lifting them to 12 points and extending their impressive run in the league.

Sporting opened the scoring in the first half when Naocha Singh converted from close range after a well-placed cross from the left. The home side continued to control possession, with captain Kunal Kundaikar and Mark Carvalho keeping pressure on Cortalim’s defense through long-range efforts and sharp runs inside the box. Cortalim’s best chance came in the 35th minute through a free-kick from 30 yards, but Sporting’s goalkeeper Abhimanyu Singh handled it confidently.

Just before half-time, Naocha’s teasing cross almost found the back of the net, but Cortalim’s goalkeeper managed to tip it away. Early in the second half, Cortalim Villagers were awarded a penalty, but Sporting goalkeeper Abhimanyu Singh brilliantly denied Airen Fernandes’ spot-kick, with Joel Colaco clearing the rebound to keep the score intact.

Sporting doubled their advantage in the 48th minute, when substitute Rohan Rodrigues set up Francisco Fernandes, who finished calmly from close range. The home side sealed the victory in the 60th minute, as Mark Carvalho struck from the right, assisted by Naocha, to make it 3–0 and secure a confident win.
